What a lovely home!We enjoyed our stay at Craggan Leisure and would love to come back!The location is fabulous and the house is amazing, as was our room.What a beautiful setting and just a short drive to Ballater, which is also lovely.We can’t say enough about the amazing breakfast created by Louise & served by Martyn.It was delicious and a thing of beauty!We were even provided with a to go box,so we could take some of the sweet treats along with us for later in the day.The best we’ve ever had!Thank you for a lovely experience.- Colleen W
There are days things happen to you that are totally unexpected.We spent the last night of our extended trip through Scotland in an extraordinary place just outside Ballatar: CRAGGAN.Calling it a boutique hotel would be an understatement. The CRAGGAN is run by a wonderfully kind couple. Our room was large, the best mattress we slept on in Scotland, superb pillows, a great bathroom and a view on hilly meadows with pheasants, rabbits and hawks.Breakfast makes the Ritz-Carlton jealous.If you have the opportunity to enjoy the hospitality of Craggan, grasp it: it has only three rooms- Hans H
My wife and I stayed at Craggan for far too short a time on our whirlwind tour of Scotland. Out of everywhere we stayed, we wish we had more time at Craggan. It is a beautiful country oasis -- a perfect place to relax and recharge. Martin and Louise are excellent hosts. There aren't enough superlatives to describe Louise's cooking. The breakfast spread here is legendary. The next time we're in Ballater, we will absolutely be back. - J
